Morris Nelson is the Senior Vice President, Corporate & Commercial Banking at Scotiabank Jamaica.

In his current role, he has executive responsibility for the strategic direction of the division and the profitable growth of the Commercial portfolio while strengthening risk and controls. He also has oversight of business payments.

He leads a dedicated team of Corporate Bankers focused on providing comprehensive financial solutions to meet the diverse needs of mid-market to corporate businesses, government, and international clients.

He is a career banker with over three decades of experience in the industry. Prior to his current role, he has held progressive leadership roles in banking operations and commercial banking, garnering broad expertise in Business development, Relationship Management, Compliance and Risk Management.

Morris holds a Bachelor of Science in Management & Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from the Mona School of Business & Management, University of West Indies.

He is an Associate of the Institute of Canadian Bankers and currently serves as a Director of Finbiz Processing Jamaica Limited, a subsidiary of Scotiabank.
